What does GeoIP + Atlas do?
Military institutions, financial organizations, and critical public infrastructure often run air-gapped, internet-isolated networks for security reasons. Security software running on these networks can't rely on external services like Google Maps or the MaxMind API to determine which country an IP address is coming from. NextPcap's GeoIP + Atlas module hosts all geographic map data and the IP location database internally. It plots and analyzes attacker IPs' geographic locations on a map even on networks with zero internet connectivity.
